Andrew Hershoff started his career In real estate development in 1992. Hershoff Properties was born with the intention of offering superior design and quality to the near west and north side neighborhoods of Chicago. His tenure in the hospitality industry paved the way for understanding how people entertain and utilize space. Under the brand Hershoff Properties, Andrew developed several exciting single-family and multi-family properties.
In late 1998, Andrew and Timothy Levaughn launched Melrose Partners and together helped to transform the Lincoln Park single-family home landscape into one of the most elegant neighborhoods in the country. Two of their homes broke the six-million-dollar barrier during the recession of 2008.
In 2014, Andrew launched Melrose Partners Designs in the Chicago area, with a singular focus on upscale condo redevelopment and home services. These services range from design-build to fire flood restoration- again, the focus being exemplary quality and quick turnaround for clients.
After starting a family in 2019, Andrew now brings his vibrant passion, vast experience, and distinct design aesthetic to the Greater Williamsburg and RVA home-building markets. With unparalleled technique, unique sourcing, and attention to detail, Andrew showcases his sophisticated creative vision with each and every custom home and renovation.
Aside from work, Andrew's passions include being an accomplished pilot, travel adventures with his Carrie, food, fashion and his fondness for classic cars. He also loves a good martini- always shaken, never stirred.
Carrie has quite a diverse background. From studying music and performing in operas and living in Spain, to modeling couture in the fashion industry for one of the most elite modeling agencies. She’s completed a BA in marketing and PR from Belmont University in Nashville, TN, and then finished her associate’s degree in culinary arts from Sullivan University in Louisville, KY.
Between all of this, she’s without question held s passionate, long-term fascination for people, home development and design. Being a travel chef at one point in her career, she discovered how to interpret the aesthetics of designing a functioning, yet luxurious kitchen with endless creative ways to build and rehab them.
Coming from a long family history in real estate and interior design, it only made sense for Carrie’s curiosity about kitchens, (in particular), to expand to entire houses and condos. Originally from Williamsburg, Virginia, Carrie’s style combines historical, southern charm with a modern, rustic twist.
Carrie enjoys staging as much as she does analyzing every construction layer with partner Andrew Hershoff. Together, they’ve taken a leap to grow a business unconventionally with great attention to detail, and with the courage to be different from everyone else. They pride themselves in how cool and different their work can look from any other design and build crew in the Chicagoland and Williamsburg area. It may look similar from afar, but be assured that the devil is in the detail!
Carrie has her broker’s license under Fulton Grace Realty in Chicago, Illinois, and with The Steele Group Sotheby’s International Realty in Williamsburg, Virginia. She and Andrew are currently working on multiple renovation projects in Chicago while navigating custom builds and a 5,400-square-foot ground-up build spec home in downtown Colonial Williamsburg. They are slowly, but surely building their team to be as strong in the Williamsburg market as it has been in Chicago over the years.
Carrie and Andrew have two little girls, Poppy Sue and Billy June. This adventurous family enjoys the warm weather of Virginia and exploring all the Greater Williamsburg Area has to offer.
